17 Thirteenth Amendment
Раздел 1 поправки гласит: "Ни рабство, ни подневольная работа, если только они не являются наказанием за преступление, за которое лицо надлежащим образом было осуждено, не должны существовать в Соединенных Штатах или в каком-либо ином месте, подчиненном их юрисдикции" ["Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction"]. English-Russian dictionary of regional studies > Thirteenth Amendment
